Michael Peterson

Michael Peterson runs MRP Law, a criminal defence practice serving St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Thorold, Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Port Colborne and Welland. He worked as a criminal defence lawyer at two other firms before opening it, and his background includes work as a writer and researcher, a per diem Crown prosecutor and duty counsel for Legal Aid Ontario. He represents clients at every stage from bail and pre-trial meetings to motions, preliminary inquiries, trials and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and takes on Dangerous Offender applications. Matters include Criminal Code charges, drug possession and drug related offences, and Highway Traffic Act violations.
